Steven Olmsted – Principal
Steven Olmsted is a recognized global leader in heavy civil infrastructure resilience, climate adaptation strategy, and risk engineering. With a career spanning decades of practical field application and strategic policy development, he has pioneered evidence-driven approaches to protecting hard assets from atmospheric and climatic stressors. His expertise lies in moving beyond theoretical models into the implementation of novel, smarter, and more resilient systems that account for structural life-cycles and real-world practitioner realities.
He has been invited to present on these realities across the United States, China, and Europe. Steven has been in and around infrastructure programming and heavy civil infrastructure project development for the last 20 years, had direct oversight of projects over $3B, and is noted for working alongside the U.S. Government, European Commission, U.S. military, World Bank, National Academies of Science, and the private sector to move the needle on infrastructure resilience. His experience integrating evidence driven science, engineering, risk, resilience, life cycle planning, asset management, and policy has afforded him a view at the nexus of natural hazard and infrastructure.

Alan O’Connor – Engineering Partner
A Chartered Engineer (CEng), Fellow of Engineers Ireland (FIEI), and Fellow of Trinity College Dublin (FTCD), Professor O’Connor is globally recognized for his research in infrastructure risk, asset performance, and structural resilience.
O’Connor has extensive international experience in risk and resilience analysis of critical infrastructure, asset life cycle performance optimization, code development and calibration for probabilistic safety assessment. He has advised agencies such as: Irish Rail, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, The Danish Roads Directorate; Danish Railways; Swedish Railways; The Norwegian Roads Authority, The Dutch Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management and the World Bank. At Trinity College Dublin, his focus is investigating infrastructural asset management and probabilistic safety assessment, risk and resilience analysis of critical infrastructure elements and systems, statistical load modeling.
